Cost of performing Haj to increase due to inflation, Saudi Arabia’s regulations



KUALA LUMPUR, (Bernama): The cost of performing the Haj is expected to increase due to the inflation rate as well as the latest regulations which have been set by the Saudi Arabian government, especially following the introduction of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Ahmad Marzuk Shaary said this included the PCR testing and vaccination required to enter Saudi Arabia as well as the capacity limits in buses, accommodation and tents during the Haj ritual.

TH ready to manage pilgrims’ safety for next haj season



KUALA LUMPUR: Despite the haj pilgrimage being postponed twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) is continuing with its preparations, taking into account the pandemic situation and developments in Saudi Arabia.

TH Haj executive director Datuk Seri Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman said the planning and preparations had been continuously implemented since the 2020 haj season in an effort to ensure that the Malaysian haj pilgrims would be able to perform the fifth pillar of Islam smoothly.
