KOTA TINGGI: The Armed Forces has detained 15 Indonesian nationals, including nine women, for entering the country illegally at Ladang Kurnia here.
The Third Malaysian Infantry Division headquarters said in a statement that its observation post spotted a boat approaching the coastal area near Ladang Kurnia at around 1am on Monday (Sept 20) morning.
“Based on this information, a team was sent to the location to track the suspects... half an hour later, we found 14 suspects hiding in the area.
"At around 9.30am, the team detained one more illegal immigrant near the same location.
“We detained five men and nine women aged between 18 and 48 years, all Indonesian nationals, for entering the country through an uncharted route,” it said.Read More »
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The army’s Greater Klang Valley Task Force has ceased its operation after 41 days following the positive development of the Covid-19 pandemic situation in the Klang Valley.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein (pic) said it was done with the consent of the Greater Klang Valley Special Task Force and the Health Ministry after the number of daily cases started to decline and the capacity of hospitals was under control and in view of the increasing number of fully vaccinated individuals.
With the termination of the operation, the Armed Forces would continue focusing on various Covid-19-related operations throughout the country.
