New York – Russian President Vladimir Putin topped the charts most influential figures in the world for four consecutive years through the recent list issued by the US business magazine, Forbes.
Guardian reported the news portal, will be President of the United States (US), Donald Trump was upset when she was in second place this year as compared to 72 last year.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel also remains the most powerful women in the world after being listed in third position, while the British Prime Minister, Theresa May this year successfully entered the charts at number 13.
Fourth place belongs to the President of China, Xi Jinping and religious leader of the Vatican, Pope Francis was fifth on the list.
According to Forbes Editor, David Ewalt, the Russian leader’s 64-year stay in the top spot for having brought the country almost to the whole world.
“The events that took place in the White House, people in Aleppo, and vote for Britain to leave the European Union (EU), has indirectly made in 2016 as an important year for Putin in his attempt to remake the global landscape.
“This year’s Forbes list also reflects the significant changes that occur throughout the world but this is the most important years of effort Trump leading the US,” he said.
US President Barack Obama to appear in second place last year fell to No. 48 this year following the defeat of the Democratic Party in the hands of Trump.
