National Sports Council (NSC) announced the location was not suitable for various reasons, including tracks that have not been updated.
NSC Director General Datuk Ahmad Shapawi Ismail said the decision was made in the meeting of the Working Committee (CAC) after obtaining the opinion of the review Athletics Head Coach, Zainal Abidin who had just returned from reviewing the state of the club based in California.
Said Ahmad Shapawi, the track conditions were not changed to make it too hard, in addition to the shortage of trainers for the sprint between the decision to cancel the intention to make the club as a training camp sprinter made.
The assessment was made and found there are several factors that we had to cancel a wish to Santa Monica Track Club. Instead we would choose Australia as the new location for the 18 athletes training.
