Over RM1mil spent on renovations, new furniture for PM’s Department

KUALA LUMPUR: Putrajaya has spent more than RM1mil on the offices of ministers and deputy ministers at the Prime Minister's Department.

In a Parliamentary reply, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob stated that a total of RM1,073,580 was spent on renovations and also to replace old furniture using three contractors.

The total sum consists of renovations costing RM145,977 and new furniture coming up to RM254,733 at the offices of ministers and deputy ministers under the Prime Minister's Department (Sabah and Sarawak affairs), with contracts going to Sega Elektrik Sdn Bhd.

Another RM380,000 was spent on renovations and RM90,000 to replace old furniture at the de facto law minister's office, with contracts going to Puncak Interaktif Sdn Bhd. Read More »

Reveal data showing MM2H participants are security threats, says Hannah Yeoh

PETALING JAYA: There is no data to show that Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) scheme participants were "security threats" as claimed by the Home Minister, says Hannah Yeoh.

The Segambut MP said that the Home Ministry had not justified its review of the MM2H scheme and that it should not penalise all MM2H participants over claims that some were involved in crime.

"Out of all your applicants, how many in the last five years have been involved with crime in Malaysia and any charges made, because these are not secrets and are known to all ministries.
