KUALA LUMPUR: National paralympic swimmer Jamery Siga was disappointed with his performance at the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro after failing to qualify for the final in the 50m freestyle S5 (cerebral palsy) category yesterday.
The 31-year-old swimmer from Sarawak clocked 38.79s to finish in 6th place in the first heat at the Olympic Aquatics Centre in Rio.
The time was far from his personal best of 37.20s which he did at a meet in Portugal last year.
Jamery will next be competing in the 100m freestyle on Friday.
