MADRID– Real Madrid failed to win the group stage of the Champions League for the first time in four years when a late goal from substitute Marco Reus confirmed Borussia Dortmund won 2-2 on Sunday.
The draw enabled Dortmund stepped into the competition’s last 16 as winners of Group F, while Real Madrid was runner-up to qualify to the same rival.
In the match Real Madrid almost dangle last rival groups when leading the scoring through Karim Benzema in the 28th minute and 53rd but everything changed when Dortmund revival showcase for the squad coached by Zinedine Zidane binding.
