The decision by the Liverpool Magistrates’ Court was made after he pleaded guilty to drunken driving when the inspection was carried out in the city in celebration of Christmas.

Firmino when commenting on the sentence imposed upon him, said, “I apologize to the club, the team manager and all the teammates and the fans of the Reds, who have continued support.

 “I admit what I did was wrong and gave a bad example to all.

“I pledge to all LFC in particular, I have learned from past mistakes and experiences and definitely will not be repeated in the future,” he said.

The Brazil international, 26-year-old scored nine goals in 29 matches this season with LFC.
