Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook have reportedly decided to donate their remaining salary from the SBS variety show Running Man. The duo will appear on the show till it concludes in February 2017.
A spokesperson from Song’s agency said:
“Song Ji-hyo and Kim Jong-kook have agreed to collect their income from the appearance fees that they will receive starting from next week to the end of the programme in February to give to the public.”
The donation details are still being discussed.
Kang Ho Dong, who was slated to join the show’s new season, backed out from the show.
SBS’ shock announcement reads: “Running Man members and producers gathered together in Seoul today for an emergency meeting and overcame their misunderstandings and miscommunication. After a deep and lengthy discussion, both sides have decided to end the show at the end of February 2017.
They added: “However, they decided that they did not want to end the show on such a sad note, and as such, will have all six members, Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Haha, Lee Kwang Soo, Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook (for the rest of the epidodes).”
