Inul Aneka Selera Sate Jawa
From Ampang to Melaka, we all love some good old smoky satay. But Johor’s sate jawa is a staple among the locals, especially for a breakfast feast! Back in the day, satay sticks used sharpened spines of coconut leaves to add a little aroma to their grilled meats, a sight not often seen today. Prices are generally lower compared to stalls in KL, and we’ve found the meat pieces to be slightly smaller with a more flavourful marinade not unlike rendang, and sizzling bits of fat to rival those in Melaka.
