Comedians and Television Host, Harith Iskander will compete with 20 comedians from around the world vying for five spots in the finals Funniest Person In The World.
Harith was successfully advanced to the semi-finals of the competition and will compete in Helsinki, Finland on 5 December.
“I been selected to be in the semi-finals of the competition after receiving the support and vote of the people.”
“Thank God, of course I am happy because it is a great game and this is my chance to bring the name of the country at the international level.”
“The semi-finals will be broadcast live online via live streaming and all over the world can watch my performance. I will tell all my fans on Facebook,” he said.
Add Harith, finished performances in the semi-final, the audience can vote for 24 hours before the announcement of the five finalists was made.
Elaborating on the match Harith told him he would show presentations on subjects close to his heart, namely Malaysia but the highlight context that is easily understood by audiences around the world.
“I was also surprised when told so far by my vote was in second place after the Philippines and marks from the show that later will determine if I qualify for the finals or not.
“In terms of performance I want the audience to know I’m from Malaysia and the subject will be raised also concerns about what is close to my heart,” he said.
In the first stage of a total of 89 candidates from 55 countries competed for the title of champion of the competition opened on 1 September to 1 October.
The winning team will take home a cash prize of USD $ 100,000 (RM400,000) in addition to the opportunity to perform US tour.
