Nigeria Under 20 women’s national team head coach, Peter Dedevbo, will make changes to the startlist that lost 0-6 to Japan in their opening game of the Fifa Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea over the weekend. Dedevbo is expected to make three changes in his starting line up for Wednesday’s clash with Canada at the Bava Park in Port Moresby.
Ihuoma Onyebuchi of Sunshine Queens, who came on as a substitute against Japan for Patience Kalu, is expected to start in midfield alongside Joy Bokiri.Dedevbo explained that the changes were necessary considering the mistakes made in their first game of the tournament.
“The focus right now is on how to pick up the maximum points against Canada. The line-up for tomorrow will change and most of the mistakes of the first game will have been corrected. I remain optimistic that we will do a good job,” said Dedevbo. As part of preparation for Wednesday’s match, the Falconets took time to watch how Spain defeated Canada 5-0 in the other game of Group B.
