Datuk Zang Toi’s the famous fashion designer in New York fully support Malaysia

Tuesday, 22 August 2017 :  Although he has lived in New York for over three decades, Datuk Zang Toi remains proudly Malaysian.
“When I am away from Malaysia, I miss my beloved family, the friendly people and of course, the delicious food,” said the renowned fashion designer, who has a beautiful showroom in the heart of the Big Apple.

Zang, 56, is one of many Malaysians from around the globe who have rallied together to show their support for the #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk 2017.

“I love that it’s a walk to promote unity. Mutual love and respect is key to a peaceful, successful country,” enthused Zang, who took a snapshot in front of Rockefeller Centre in New York to support #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk.

“It is unfortunate that I can’t be there as I am busy preparing my Spring collection to be showcased during New York Fashion Week next month,” added Zang, who was born in Kelantan.

He left Malaysia at the age of 18, and attended Parsons School of Design in New York. His clientele includes rich-and-famous names such as Melinda Gates, wife of Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, actresses Kirstie Alley and Eva Longoria, and pop star Fergie of Black Eyed Peas.

The #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk 2017 will be held at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam on Aug 27.

The event is organised by Star Media Group in collaboration with Eco World Development Group Bhd.

There will be lucky draw prizes including a Proton Iriz 1.6L premium CVT, a Gintell De’Vano S Funtastic Sofa and a Goodnite Exec Series 6” Achievement Mattress.

Others include Panasonic electrical products, PNB Perdana Hotel and Suites on the Park stays, Spin Pro B1.3 exercise bike from Healthy World Lifestyle, OTO e-Physio Plus EY-900P, Soleus GPS Sole running watch and Kay Kay All Plant Sports Protein Powder from Inno Asia Distribution Sdn Bhd.
