Tuesday, 23 May 2017

KUALA LUMPUR: AmBank Group won 3 awards at the Malaysian e-Payments Excellence Awards (MEEA) 2017. AmBank was honoured with the awards for Outstanding Contribution to JomPAY, Top MyDebit Acquirer (First Place) and Outstanding Contribution to MyDebit.

The MEEA is an annual event that recognises the outstanding achievements of banks, businesses and government agencies that have contributed significantly towards excellence, innovation and growth in electronic payments in Malaysia.

“We are honoured to be recognised for our commitment and efforts in promoting and creating awareness for JomPAY as an accessible bill payment eco-system and the use of debit cards as an alternative to cash. The group will continue to strive to provide end-to- end and value-adding financial solutions to meet the needs of our customers,” group chief executive Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir said in a statement.

MEEA is organised by the Malaysian Electronic Clearing Corporation (MyClear), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank Negara Malaysia that operates Malaysia’s key financial market infrastructures and coordinates the financial market infrastructure enhancements efforts.
